Our District

Our History

Asbury Park Public Schools is a comprehensive community public school district headquartered in Asbury Park, NJ, United States, serving children in pre-K and Kindergarten through twelfth grade. The district is one of 31 former Abbott Districts statewide, which are now referred to as "SDA Districts" based on the requirement for the state to cover all costs for school building and renovation projects in these districts under the supervision of the New Jersey Schools Development Authority.

Building A Brighter Future

Many of you may have heard about my hard hat. Well, the hard hat is a symbol of my vision of “Building A Brighter Future.” This vision is based on my belief that once we educate our students in a positive learning environment that includes exposure to innovative and rigorous curricula, unique educational experiences and prerequisite life skills necessary to succeed, then they will be prepared to attain other pursuits. This student-centered approach and experiential learning beyond the traditional classroom will engage students to think critically, ask questions and will foster innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship.

Board of Education

The Asbury Park Board of Education is responsible for setting the policies, goals and objectives for the district - and works with the Superintendent in making sure those goals are achieved.

Administration

The Asbury Park School District Central Administration is dedicated to building a positive learning environment where students and teachers can flourish.
